8 Chains North is a small family-owned and -operated farm winery located in the town of Waterford in picturesque Loudoun County, Virginia. Our business began in 2006 when our original vineyard, Furnace Mountain, was planted by father and son on the bluffs of the Potomac River. We believe that the best wines begin in the vineyard, and invite you to enjoy a glass or bottle with us.

We welcome Scott Ross from 2:00–5:00 pm. Scott is an acoustic guitarist and singer who has been performing for over 20 years. He was brought up in a musical family, studied classical piano beginning at age five, then took an interest in bass and six-string guitar. After months of teaching himself how to play the guitar, he learned that he was playing left handed on a right-handed guitar, known “gypsy style.” Scott stays true to his passion for great music. He has a repertoire of over 500 songs, and also writes his own songs from time to time in hopes of composing some gems like so many great artists of the last 50 years.
Congratulations! If you and your beloved are looking for the romance and beauty of a vineyard ceremony, then consider hosting your wedding at 8 Chains North. We offer outdoor ceremonies, with receptions in our “rustically elegant” Compass Rose Room. The full winery is also available after hours. With wedding packages to suit most budgets, let us show you how we can make your special day one to remember. Plus, we have a super deal for $1000.00 off for brides still looking to book a 2017 wedding. Read all about it here. >>
