8 Chains North is a small family-owned and -operated farm winery located in the town of Waterford in picturesque Loudoun County, Virginia. Our business began in 2006 when our original vineyard, Furnace Mountain, was planted by father and son on the bluffs of the Potomac River. We believe that the best wines begin in the vineyard, and invite you to enjoy a glass or bottle with us.

NEW! NEW! NEW! Music in the Tasting Room every Saturday afternoon! Our first Saturday performance is by Jim Steele. Jim has been entertaining audiences for years as a solo artist and as half of the popular acoustic duo Steele and Oglevee. With diverse influences ranging from 30s swing bands to today’s pop and country acts (and everything in between), Jim plays an eclectic and fun mix of music that’s sure to please! Steele says his greatest joy is to see someone smiling and feeling happy when he plays! (A glass of wine won’t hurt either.)
Congratulations! If you and your beloved are looking for the romance and beauty of a vineyard ceremony, then consider hosting your wedding at 8 Chains North.
