8 Chains North is a small family-owned and -operated farm winery located in the town of Waterford in picturesque Loudoun County, Virginia. Our business began in 2006 when our original vineyard, Furnace Mountain, was planted by father and son on the bluffs of the Potomac River. We believe that the best wines begin in the vineyard, and invite you to enjoy a glass or bottle with us.

We welcome Tin Roof to the Tasting Room this Sunday from 2:00–5:00 pm. Vocalist Kim Fields has been playing the local and regional music scene for over 15 years as a solo songwriter and as part of the established acoustic act October Skies. Tin Roof performs as an acoustic duo with Kim Fields on vocals and percussion, Bob Carrier on guitar, and as a trio adding in Rick Shenton on double bass. Tin Roof has a flavor that pulls from standard jazz influences such as Nina Simone and Billie Holiday, to the Tin Roof blues where they get their name.
